Phone data extraction is technically and legally distinct from computer forensics. Modern iPhones and Androids encrypt data at rest, sandbox applications, and aggressively overwrite deleted content. The recovery window is shorter than on a laptop, which is why early preservation matters. Empire Investigation uses industry-standard forensic acquisition platforms (the same tools used by law enforcement) to perform logical and, where supported, full file-system extractions of phones with proper consent or legal authority.

What We Recover from Mobile Devices

Newer iPhones with current iOS versions have stronger encryption that limits what is recoverable; we provide a realistic capability assessment after the device is in hand.
